DOUBLE MINDED

James 4:8: Come near to God and He will come near to you.

Christians! Refuse to live with one foot still in this wicked world and the other in God’s presence. (Please read the post Believer and Christian for the difference between the two)

Instead, jump into God’s presence with both feet! Leave this evil world behind and rejoice in His kingdom of love, peace, joy, grace and mercy over your life. Right now that kingdom is spiritual, but one day it will be physical!

Until that day, He has clothed His believers in righteousness, pure and white, through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ who agreed to die as a sin offering so we could be saved into the presence of His Father.

Because God cannot tolerate sin.

When He spoke the universe into creation, He created mankind in His image and ‘we’ were perfect for a time, walking with Him in His garden, until ‘we’ fell—eating a forbidden fruit because ‘we’ listened to the most vile creature ever imagined.

God invites us through His Son, into His presence again and again. When believers respond by choosing His Son, He wants us to look toward His Kingdom, instead of looking back toward this dying world.

Do not be double minded.

Christians! Yank your other foot out of this world, and place it firmly into His Kingdom. Matthew 6:9-13:

Our Father, which art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
THY KINGDOM COME
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts
As we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom
And the power
And the glory forever.
Amen!
