JUDE SERIES #3

JUDE 6-7

There are vast and unfathomable mysteries in scripture that humans struggle to understand. As a believer, do not refute God’s words, difficult as they may be…

— — —

Jude writes like he’s talking to his friends around the dinner table, rather than in a letter. His writing is intimate and personal as if taking place face-to-face. Discern that Jude KNOWS his buddies understand this information already, therefore he’s pounding home the importance of God’s warning to US, not to his friends. Verse 6 refers to Old Testament scripture, so in effect Jude verse 6 says, “Hey future believers, You also know that the angels who did not keep within their proper domain, but abandoned their own place of residence, He has kept in eternal chains in utter darkness, locked up for the judgement of the great Day.

We must thoroughly research God’s Word in Genesis, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Isaiah to learn that Jude is talking about the one-third of God’s angels (they’re called sons {all male} of God—see Genesis 6:1) who left heaven (their proper domain), joined Satan and came to earth as heavenly “beings”. These creatures forced human women to be their wives. The subsequent offspring of this perversion are called Nephilim, and they roamed the earth before AND AFTER the flood.

God chained the fallen angels who had sex with women in Tartarus, which is a specific area far below Hell where they will remain until Judgement. The important thing to understand is Jude compares the modern day certain men who crept in unnoticed in verse 4 to these creatures! That’s how vile they are. That’s how believers are able to identify them. Jude gives another comparison in verse 7:

So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns, since they indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in a way similar to these angels, are now displayed as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

Read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns to discover the deep meanings regarding why God abhors sexual perversion of all types. All of it, every ugly bit of human sexual immorality is derived from Satan. No one can claim “they were born this way”, or “it’s biological”. It is a choice people make between right and wrong, good and evil, God and Satan as an excuse to FEEL a certain way. For this reason we see our current world turned upside-down, inside-out, up is down and down is up. Right is wrong. Evil is good.

Goodness is abhorred by Satan’s legions and his human minions. These certain evil men—crept in unnoticed—are leading the charge toward destruction.

Research the men in control of the seven pillars of power—finance, education, medicine, religion, information, resources, and military. One behavior binds them all. Their perversions are out in the open—because they’re no longer afraid, nor concerned about how wrong their behavior is. They do not care about how the public views their behavior. They flaunt it against God, against His Son, and against humanity.

But here is the hope, joy, peace, and love of God toward His Called…

2 Peter 2:4-15, 17-19: For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into Tartarus and locked them up in chains in utter darkness, to be kept until the judgement, and if He did not spare the ancient world, but did protect Noah, a herald of righteousness, along with seven others, when God brought a flood on an ungodly world, and if He turned to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when He condemned them to destruction, having appointed them to serve as an example to future generations of the ungodly, and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man in anguish over the debauched lifestyle of lawless men, for while he lived among them day after day, that righteous man was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard. IF SO, then the Lord knows how to rescue the Godly from their trials, and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment at the day of judgement, especially those who indulge their fleshly desires and who despise authority. Brazen and insolent, they are not afraid to insult the righteous ones, but these men, like irrational animals—creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed—do not understand Whom they are insulting, and consequently in their destruction they will be destroyed, suffering harm as the wages for their harmful ways. By considering it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight, they are stains and blemishes, indulging their deceitful pleasures. Their eyes, full of adultery, never stop sinning. They have trained their hearts for greed. By forsaking the right path they have gone astray…These men are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm, for whom the utter depths of darkness have been reserved. For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption, for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.

Those two wordsIF SO complete God’s promise to rescue the Godly from their present day trials. Never, under any circumstances will God forsake His beloved.

And He WILL DESTROY evil.

Therefore we are to suit up daily in God’s Armor (Ephesians 6), and stand and serve His creation. Under His provision we are His hands and feet.
