RELATIONSHIP!

What does God ask of us?

RELATIONSHIP!

Here’s one scripture about worship each believer should consider daily.

Romans 12:1-2: “Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Which begs the question: Who or what do you worship?

Some celebrity?

Money?

Addiction?

Control? Power? Pride/ego?

To whom or to what do you dedicate your time and thoughts?

Social media?

Shopping?

Career?

These are the worldly relationships the above verses are urging you to abandon. Replace them with a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ!

When we step away from our worldly desires and choose Him instead—offering our bodies—this sacrifice TOWARDS the Lord is relationship worship. We’re SEEKING Him. And this pleases Him greatly. He knows everything about us already, but He asks us to OFFER ourselves in a relationship TO Him.

This act is mind renewing. It changes you!

Done daily it binds your thoughts upward—away from inconsequential issues—to what is vitally important…

…your relationship with the Lord God Almighty.

When you daily sacrifice and worship, He sees and hears and ACTS to deepen His relationship with you.

How?

God shares Himself with you—more and more, deeper, more thoroughly.

It’s mind blowing when He speaks. When He answers prayers, or provides otherworldly love for His truth, knowledge, wisdom, and discernment.

He blesses beyond comprehension.

As a believer consistently sacrifices through worship, this leads to constant and continual talking with God. A running conversation.

Boy, oh boy!!! Talk about incredible!

For those who experience this—it truly is beyond amazing.

It’s funny…

The Lord gives me the information He wants shared and often backs it up—like He’s proving nothing is coincidence!—with further scripture…

Immediately after sharing the above post, this is the scripture He showed me…

Matthew 11:25-30: “Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

👆🏼This is printed in RED Words.

Worldly people, who rely upon their own intelligence, reject God’s Word. They view the Bible as ridiculous—they mock it and those who believe in it.

They believe in—and rely upon—their own intelligence. Quite obviously, they don’t even know Who created them! Therefore, God hides true wisdom and knowledge from them, and offers it instead to His (infants), His ‘little children’—believers!

Makes me laugh every time I read this verse…Because it proves that our daily relationship worship sacrifice is ‘well-pleasing’ in God’s sight.

But LOOK! Jesus goes on to say that He is the only Way to God—there is no other way to know God except through Christ, and that God handed over ALL things to Him. Facts the ‘world’s intelligent’ rejects.

…and the best part…when Jesus invites…

“COME TO ME” because the world, and all of its deceit, is a heavy burden! But the yoke of Christ is light and easy to carry and filled with love and caring and promises of goodness.

Oh, how wonderful are the Lord’s promises for those who are in a relationship with Him. ❤️
