THE EZEKIEL PROPHESIES PART 4

We cover Ezekiel 39 today, and this will be the final Part of the Ezekiel Prophesies, but Ezekiel 40 through 48, plus the book of Daniel, and the book of Revelation bears much witness to God’s future timeline. For those who are interested in continuing their study, these books are worth researching.

So…why is Ezekiel 39 so important? Because it culminates chapters 36 through 38 into a timeline that explains future events. This knowledge provides people the opportunity to learn about God Almighty, thus granting a person time to make a personal choice to come to God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s explore Part 4 carefully, starting in Ezekiel, chapter 39, verses 1 and 2:

“And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, thus says the LORD God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel.”

As in Ezekiel chapter 38 the LORD God maintains that He is against this man Gog from Russia, and He will maneuver this massive army toward Israel.

Verses 3 through 5 reads:

“Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand, and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken, says the LORD God.”

God Almighty takes possession of the aggressor’s weapons—not allowing them to be used against His people. As the armies of Russia are pressed up against the mountains of Israel and flow out onto the open fields, God destroys them and they will be devoured.

Verse 6 is important:

“And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.”

What is this fire that God will send? According to scripture the LORD has used fire to destroy many times. Here are just two references:

Numbers 16:35—And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men…

Ezekiel 22:31—“I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath… says the LORD God.”

Therefore, when God prophesies that He will bring the fight to Russia with fire—that’s precisely what He will do.

God also claims to send fire on several other locations whose people believe they are secure. God is using fire on these nations so that they, along with the rest of the world, recognize and acknowledge that He is LORD.

But where are these nations located? God is not specific. Different Biblical translations describe the coastlands as islands, and in one case as Russian allies. But there is an interesting prophesy in Daniel, chapter 11, verse 18 which reads: “After this He shall turn His face to the coastlands, and shall take many.”

The LORD God continues in verses 7 and 8:

“So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Surely it is coming, and it shall be done,” says the LORD God. This is the day of which I have spoken.”

In this verse, the LORD God graciously provides the necessary ‘pay attention wake-up call’ that allows people throughout the world time to decide. For God is telling the people of earth that this Magog Threat is coming. For this is the day of which He has spoken, and right now is the time for the people of the world to choose God’s Son as their Lord and Savior. Because when God repeats Himself this many times in the space of four chapters, He WANTS people to know and understand and make the decision to come to Him, and be spared from His wrath. God provides the way, but each individual must make their own decision. Because God is explaining that time is running short. God is impatient to have Israel know Him again, after 2000+ years of hiding Himself from them. When the Magog Threat occurs, Israel will know that their LORD God was the one who protected them from this massive army.

Here are verses 9 through 20:

“Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and bucklers, the bows and arrows, the javelins and spears; and they will make fires with them for seven years. They will not take wood from the field nor cut down any from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them, says the LORD God. It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog. For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. Indeed all the people of the land will be burying, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified, says the LORD God. They will set apart men regularly employed, with the help of a search party, to pass through the land and bury those bodies remaining on the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. The search party will pass through the land; and when anyone sees a mans bone, he shall set up a marker by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. The name of the city will also be Hamonah. Thus they shall cleanse the land. And as for you, son of man, thus says the LORD God, speak to every sort of bird and to every beast of the field: Assemble yourselves and come; gather together from all sides to My sacrificial meal which I am sacrificing for you, a great sacrificial meal on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams and lambs, of goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan. You shall eat fat till you are full, and drink blood till you are drunk, at My sacrificial meal which I am sacrificing for you. You shall be filled at My table with horses and riders, with mighty men and with all the men of war, says the LORD God.”

For seven months Israel will bury the dead, and special burial teams will be dispatched. And then the people of Israel will have enough fuel from the weapons to power their country for seven years.

Is this passage referring to fuel oil, nuclear weapons, or something else? God is not specific, but we do know that this enormous modern day army will not be fighting using wooden spears, bows and arrows.

What is vitally important to understand here is the seven year reference, which coincides prophetically with the 70th Week of Daniel, chapter 9, and again in Revelation, chapters 6 through 18, when God explains what occurs after He protects Israel.

Verses 21 through 29 hammers home God’s Ezekiel prophesy for Israel:

“I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day forward. The Gentiles shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they were unfaithful to Me, therefore I hid My face from them. I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I have dealt with them, and hidden My face from them. Therefore thus says the LORD God: now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name—after they have borne their shame, and all their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid. When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemieslands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, says the LORD God.”

For four chapters now God has been quite clear regarding His purposes for this prophesy—which is to show the world that He is an uncontrollable God, who—throughout history—has shown that He will do what He will do BECAUSE HE ALONE IS LORD.

All the world will understand that God will protect Israel, and the nation will turn to Him, and these people will belong to the LORD God from that day forward.

So…now we have a clear order of God’s future timeline:

    • Israel is in their promised land, as of 1948, and in possession of Jerusalem since 1967.

    • The Russian army leaves from whatever country they occupy, and head back to Russia.

    • Somewhere along the way, the Russian army turns toward Israel.

    • On the way toward Israel, the Russian army is joined by many other armies.

    • These combined forces form near the Israeli mountains, and flow out onto the plains.

    • Then they attack Israel.

    • The LORD God stops the attack and destroys them all.

    • Then God turns His focus upon Russia and the other coastal lands of His choosing, and proceeds to send fire down on them.

    • Many scholars and commentators strongly suggest that at this time God removes His Church from earth. Commonly called the Rapture (from the Latin Rapturo—but far more accurately described by the original Greek text—is the word harpazo—which means ‘snatched away’. In the modern translations, harpazo is translated into English as ‘caught up.’) Matthew 24:32, John 5:25, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, and 1 Corinthians 15:50-52 offer strong evidence of this event, and in John 14:6 Jesus clearly states that God the Almighty alone knows the exact moment in time.

    • At this point, the LORD God utterly and completely shifts His focus to Israel, and shows His face to His nation, and Israel’s eyes are opened to God after 2000+ years of blindness.

    • God pours out His Spirit on Israel, and removes His Spirit from the rest of the world.

    • Israel spends seven months burying what remains of the invading army, and the following seven years fueling their nation from the weapons that were used against them.

    • At this point, the timeline shifts from the prophesies of Ezekiel to the prophesies in the books of Daniel and Revelation.

    • An undetermined amount of time passes, and then a young, single-world leader emerges from the EU. This man offers Israel a peace treaty, and the world wholeheartedly supports it.

    • It is at this time that the 70th Week of Daniel commences, and the events in Revelation, chapters 6 through 18 begin to unfold.

    • Israel accepts this peace treaty and free from conflict, rebuilds the Temple in Jerusalem, on the Temple Mount. For three and a half years, Israel experiences vast abundance, while the rest of the world suffers immensely.

    • Then, this single, world-leader revokes the peace treaty with Israel and places a statue of himself inside the Holy Temple’s Holy of Holies, and demands that the entire world worship him.

    • For the next three and a half years the world experiences what is called the Great Tribulation—which includes the mark of the beast—the specific number of the man who is the world-leader—the number 666.

    • Israel, horrified by what happened inside the Holy of Holies, and with the Spirit of the LORD God upon them, calls out to God for their Messiah—the Son of God—to return.

    • At the end of the last 42 months, the King—the Lord Jesus Christ—will be seen by the entire population of earth coming through the clouds and followed by His angel armies, and by His Church.

    • King Jesus will set His foot upon the Mount of Olives and it will split in two.

    • King Jesus will destroy the vast armies that have gathered against Jerusalem in the Battle of Armageddon.

    • King Jesus will throw the one world-leader, and that man’s second-in-command, the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire forever.

    • King Jesus will bind Satan and lock him in the pit of hell.

    • The east gate into Jerusalem will be opened for the King, and Jesus will enter and establish His government where He and His Church will rule and reign for 1000 years—this is called the Millennial Kingdom.

    • Near the end of the 1000 year reign, God will release Satan from hell and he will lead the pridefilled descendants-of-the-generations-of-earth, including Gog of Magog, in a battle against King Jesus and the Holy City Jerusalem.

    • But before this battle, God sends fire down upon the entire army, destroying them, and then binds Satan, and he is thrown into the Lake of Fire for eternity.

In summary, God warned humanity about the Magog Threat over 2500 years ago. The LORD God alone knows the exact date when the Russian army will head for home. If the LORD God turns them back and they attempt to invade Israel, the events told in this podcast will occur rapidly, suddenly, very quickly.

Additionally, God knows the exact date when His Church will be snatched out from earth. Quite possibly the world governments at that time will attempt to explain away the disappearance of millions of people as being caused by the Russian and coastlands fire from heaven. They will blame the LORD God for these disappearances.

But understand this, from the beginning, God the Father, His Son—the Lord Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit had a two-fold plan to bring together the two peoples of earth—the nation of Israel and the gentiles. From the time of the original sin by Adam and Eve, through the Abrahamic Covenant, through Issac, and Jacob and Joseph—God planned for the two sticks—the two peoples of mankind to be joined into one branch, to become His chosen people who would live with Him for all eternity.

Through the 2500 year old Ezekiel prophesies, and the books of Daniel and Revelation, God provides the world with the opportunity to come to Him, to choose Him through His one and only Son. Because no one can come to the Father except through the Son. And in Proverbs chapter 8, verses 35 and 36 Jesus tells us this:

“For whoever finds Me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD; but he who sins against Me wrongs his own soul; and all those who hate Me love death.”

The proof is overwhelming, and the choice is yours. Become a believer, O people of the world and pray for the LORD God’s Kingdom and His will to be done:

“Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”

And we pray in one voice “Come Lord Jesus, COME!”

Amen and Amen.
